Scripture for Anxiety

Being a wellness company, I feel more than able to write about a critical piece of wellness - mental wellness. We all have anxious thoughts from time to time, and some of us struggle with it more than others.

I have had 3 instances in my life where my hormones were off balance, I was fighting viruses, and a life trauma happened that sent me into an intense anxious state for weeks or months and I have only been able to get out of with the help of Western Medicine. (Thank God we have this when we need it!)

Below I'm going to list the scriptures that have carried me through my darkest days. I will proudly tell you that it was not me getting me through those days, but Jesus. Without prayer, praise, and reflection, I would not be where I am today. Let me be a testimony to you that we cannot do this life on our own.

Verses for When You're Feeling Anxious

Put on the Armor of God, every single day if you need, and remind yourself that you are safe because He is your God.

Ephesians 6:11-18

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
